Defending Land and Water Rights in Michigan's Upper Peninsula
Miigwech to all of you who represented us and our love for the water and this sacred land!
Don’t know if anyone saw this, but it was Jennifer Granholm going on and on about the injustice of blown umpire’s call taking away a no-hitter from Tiger’s pitcher, Galarraga. She was on Keith Olbermann last night, (June 3) with a Skype video about it !! Amazing timing when the rally took place same day.
A blown call in baseball being an injustice. Well at least we know that she can use the word. Really though you have see the statements she makes on the show, to feel that she is out of touch with the “old rules” of the antiquated mining laws.

I am surrounding you all with my love and support from a distance. The connections made with each of you at Eagle Rock means so much to me and my children. Thank you all for being so strong and standing up for this earth!!!! My thoughts are with you everyday and I will do whatever I can to help this criminal corporation remove themselves from this sacred land!!!
Am told that a bald eagle, golden eagle and other winged brothers and sisters made an appearence over head, one offering a fish on the capitol lawn to start this powerful event off! I pray for a shift in priorities from our governor, regulators and our state and local officials who have forgotten that clean water, sacred sites and treaties of the right of passage is more important than corporate greed.
A NEW EAGLE ROCK FIRE WILL BE STARTED TOMORROW NEAR EAGLE ROCK, WE WILL ALL BE AT THE STORAGE SHED BEHIND THE GAS STATION AT 6PM TO PICK UP ALL OUR SUPPLIES AND HEAD OUT. THIS SITE IS NOT ON OR LEASED TO KENOCOTT !!!
AT BIG BAY…
we got together yesterday and we decided to not start a new camp yet. we all are trying to get all of this court and council stuff taken care of before we can have enough people to help. we really need more people to help us with the sacred fire and everything when we live off of the land like this. teachers are so needed to, to help us and when we get camp back up and going. i hope and pray the help will come.
