Check out this quote from Kennecott Eagle Project manager, Jon Cherry in a piece of industry propaganda. He says that Kennecott, which has one of the United States’ largest contaminated sites in Utah, where Kennecott’s flagship mine is located, “has always operated” with protecting the environment in mind.
“Some people believe that you have to choose between mining and protecting the environment. But mining and environmental care are not mutually exclusive. You can design a mine in such a way as to protect the environment,” explains Cherry. “That’s what these laws aim to do, and that’s how our company has always operated.”
Amazing that some around here believe a word of what this guy says.

Hey Jon, how did Kennecott earn those Superfund nominations/designations, then?
Whatever Jon.
