Follow the Signs!
From Marquette: Get onto County Road 550 north of Marquette, heading toward Big Bay.  Drive 25 miles
along County Road 550 going northwest.  At the intersection of County Road 550 and County Road 510, turn left.  Drive 3.1 miles until you reach AAA road (not marked very well, so watch closely). Turn right onto AAA road.  Drive 3.1 miles until you reach a large “Y” in the road.  Stay left.  Continue for about 6.5 – 7 miles until you see Eagle Rock to the right and pull in.

Directions from Baraga/L’Anse coming soon.

  1. It would be great to have an update on high priority items needed for donation, in what quantities and also what is needed for children that are there with the families. Can I bring supplies directly to the site or is there a preferred drop off point? Much love to the folks who are staying with the land!! My heart is with you.

  2. ” Drive 3.1 miles until you reach AAA road (not marked very well, so watch closely) It is marked by birch trees that have red paint on them but no road signs.

  3. azure: You can bring supplies to Eagle Rock. It is still public land, although Kennecott may say different. You don’t have to cross Kennecott’s illegal “no trespassing” line anyway to drop things off for us.

    Thanks for the support!

  4. We’ll try to make sure we keep updated on supplies needed on the supplies page.

I am planning to send supplies up with somebody or perhaps travel myself. I don’t see directions coming from the Baraga. I’m sure I can figure it out but if you could post them it would be most helpful!

    Peace and light,
    Jess

When taking AAA from 510 do stay left but DON’T take Pinnacle Falls road. Cause if you do you’ll be driving all around the sandy narrow roads of a Tree Plantation until dark like I did. Hahahaha…had the children climbing onto the roof of the mini-van looking for smoke from the sacred fire before we finally turned around and found our way back to AAA. We did find the camp shortly before dark and grateful for it!

Looking for portable hoop for basketball! is their anythings other play things the children may need bat and ball, hola hoops, etc. etc ??????

    • We look forward to your visit. Thank you. A hoola hoop and jump rope for kids mightbe nice :)

Safe travels! If you need help when you get into town you can call Teresa at 9062730040.

    • Good luck on your trip, the supplies are very much appreciated I am sure.

One of the supplies they continually need is fire wood but please DO NOT bring fire wood from Illinois. I don’t mean to offend if you are already aware but the UP is fighting hard to prevent the spread of an invasive beetle (Emerald Ash Borer) that has been devastating the forests south of the UP and one of its most effective methods of transport is via firewood carried out to camps. If you want to contribute fire wood, stop at one of the many places that sell it along the road and support a local UP family in the process.

      Thank you!

Bless you all and peace to all of you. We are in Northern California now but I am always thinking about the U.P. and my thoughts turn to the Kenecott B.S. quite often. We are praying for this to stop and I believe you will all stop this with your pure hearts and actions. Keep up the good fight. I know you already know without a doubt you are doing what is the right thing and we wish you continued strength, perseverance and prosperity. Bless you wonderful people!
